Boiler

The OFEC Boiler is the core thermal energy supply equipment in organic fertilizer production lines, providing high-temperature, high-pressure steam for the steam granulation process. Through the thermal granulation process, it effectively raises material temperature, reduces pellet moisture content, and consequently lowers downstream drying energy consumption – optimizing overall line efficiency.

Product Overview

Drum steam granulation is a thermal granulation process. Its core advantage lies in the fact that steam raises the material temperature, making water-soluble salts more readily soluble during granulation. This facilitates achieving the required liquid phase for granulation at lower moisture content levels – significantly reducing heat consumption in the subsequent drying stage and optimizing the overall production capacity of the line.
In organic fertilizer production lines, the boiler generates high-temperature, high-pressure steam that is delivered to the granulator for the steam granulation process.

Equipment Components

The boiler mainly consists of the following components:

● Boiler Body: Core working component

● Combustion System: Burner, fuel supply equipment

● Control System: PLC control panel, instruments, sensors

● Safety Devices: Safety valves, water level gauges, pressure gauges

● Water Treatment System: Water softener, deaerator

● Auxiliary Equipment: Induced draft fan, forced draft fan, dust collector

Working Principle

The boiler heats water to a high-temperature, high-pressure state by burning fuels (coal, biomass, gas, oil, etc.) or using electrical energy, generating steam. The steam is delivered through pipelines to the drum granulator, where it is injected into the material bed inside the drum via the spray system during granulation – raising material temperature and moisture to promote pellet agglomeration and forming.

Heat Unit Conversion

When selecting a boiler, the heat supply capacity and total heat consumption calculation are crucial. Common heat unit conversions are as follows:

Unit

Description

Kilocalorie per hour (kcal/h)

Metric unit for heat supplied by the boiler per hour

Ton per hour (t/h)

Evaporation capacity of a steam boiler – the amount of water converted to steam per hour

Megawatt (MW)

SI unit, where 1 MW = 1,000,000 W

Unit
Description
Kilocalorie per hour (kcal/h)

Ton per hour (t/h)
Evaporation capacity of a steam boiler – the amount of water converted to steam per hour

Megawatt (MW)

SI unit, where 1 MW = 1,000,000 W
Conversion Formula:
600,000 kcal/h = 1 t/h = 0.7 MW
Evaporation Capacity to Power Correspondence:
1 t/h = 1,000 kg/h = 0.7 MW = 700 kW = 600,000 kcal/h = 600 Mcal/h
