Industry Overview

Organic fertilizer is produced from animal and plant residues such as livestock manure, crop straw, and food waste through composting and maturation. It supplies crops with comprehensive nutrition including nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and organic matter, while also improving soil physical structure, chemical properties, and microbial environment – making it a foundational input for soil health and sustainable agricultural development.

Organic fertilizer encompasses a wide variety of types, including farmyard manure, green manure, compost, humic fertilizer, bio-organic fertilizer, and more.

OFEC offers two mainstream granulation lines with complete equipment and process solutions for organic fertilizer production, covering all core processes from raw material handling to finished product packaging. For smaller-scale investors, we also provide the E1 Fertilizer Production Station – a compact, combined granulation line.

Drum Granulation Line

Characterized by high single-unit capacity and closed-loop design, suitable for large-scale, high-output organic fertilizer production. Produces round, uniform granules with high strength. Capacity range: 3–30 TPH.

Disc Granulation Line
Simple structure, low investment, and flexible operation. Well-suited for small to medium-sized organic fertilizer plants and multiple formula switching, with a capacity of 1–6 TPH.
Extrusion Granulation Line

Characterized by dry granulation with no or low-temperature drying, low energy consumption, and high pellet density. Produces dense, columnar or flat-spherical granules with high strength. Capacity range: 1–5 TPH.

E1 Fertilizer Production Station
A compact, modular granulation line developed specifically for small-scale, low-budget projects. Capacity ranges from 0.5 to 1.5 TPH.

1. Composting System

Composting is the first critical stage in organic fertilizer production, directly determining the quality of subsequent raw materials. OFEC offers three types of compost turning equipment to suit different fermentation scenarios:

Hydraulic Compost Turner
Crawler-type running mechanism, suitable for small to medium-scale composting sites and complex terrain. Working width: 2–2.5 meters, turning depth: 0.8–1.2 meters.
Wheel‑Type Compost Turner
Large-span, deep-turning design with working width up to 4 meters and turning depth up to 1.8 meters – ideal for large-scale, continuous operations in extensive composting facilities.
Groove‑Type Compost Turner
Paired with a transfer trolley, one machine serves multiple troughs – maximizing land utilization. Ideal for space-constrained sites with stringent environmental requirements.

Through regular turning, the compost pile receives sufficient oxygen, maintaining fermentation temperatures of 55–70°C – effectively eliminating pathogens, parasite eggs, and weed seeds while converting organic waste into stable, harmless humus fertilizer.

2. Crushing & Mixing System

Composted materials often contain lumps and uneven particle sizes. OFEC provides:

Semi-wet Material Crusher
Specifically designed for high-moisture organic materials – output particle size ≤5mm, uniform and controllable.
Twin-Shaft Mixer
Continuous large-scale mixing – creating convection, shearing, and diffusion movements within the housing for high mixing uniformity.
Disc Mixer
Intermittent small-batch production – easy cleaning for quick formula changeover.
3. Granulation System

OFEC offers three mainstream granulation equipment types to suit different scales and production requirements:

Drum Granulator
Ø0.8–4.5m, 1–200 TPH, customizable drum material, round & high-strength granules.
Disc Granulator
Ø0.5–4.5m, 5–15 TPH, adjustable angle, low investment, fast changeover.
Roller Granulator

Characterized by dry granulation with no or low-temperature drying, low energy consumption, Capacity range: 1–5 TPH.

4. Drying & Cooling System
Pellets leaving the granulator typically have a moisture content of 15%–20% and must be dried to ≤15% for safe storage:
Rotary Dryer
Drum diameter 0.8–4.6 meters, capacity 1–200 TPH. Customizable lifting flights – fuel options include oil, natural gas, coal, or biomass.
Rotary Cooler
Counter-current air cooling design – effectively prevents caking and enhances pellet strength.
5. Screening & Packaging System
Trommel Screener
Screen drum diameter 0.8–2.5 meters, capacity 1–30 TPH. Equipped with cleaning brush device for precise grading.
Coating Machine
With drum diameters from 0.8 to 2.5 meters and capacities from 1 to 200 TPH, it features a reliable structure and flexible operation.
Automatic Packaging Machine
Covers ton bags, open-mouth bags, and valve bags – weighing accuracy better than ±0.2%. Optional automatic palletizing system available.
