Combustion Device
The OFEC combustion device is the core heating equipment in organic fertilizer production lines, providing a stable heat source for rotary dryers. By efficiently generating high-temperature hot air, it delivers continuous and reliable thermal energy for drying organic fertilizer pellets.
Product Overview
As the heat source of the drying system, the combustion device provides sustained and stable thermal energy for the dryer. The OFEC Combustion Device is compatible with a wide range of fuel types, allowing flexible selection of coal, biomass, gas, or oil based on the client’s local energy availability. Equipped with an intelligent control system, it enables automatic ignition, flame monitoring, temperature regulation, and fault alarming – ensuring safe and reliable operation.
Equipment Components
The combustion device mainly consists of the following components:
● Combustion Chamber: Core working component where fuel combustion takes place
● Burner: Key component that mixes fuel with air and ignites the mixture
● Fuel Supply System: Configured according to fuel type (coal feeder, biomass feeder, gas pipeline, oil pump, etc.)
● Combustion Air System: Forced draft fan and air ducts supplying combustion air
● Control System: PLC control panel, flame detector, temperature sensors, actuators
● Safety Devices: Flameout protection, over-temperature alarm, pressure safety valves, etc.
● Dust Collection System: Cyclone or baghouse dust collector for flue gas treatment
Working Principle
The combustion device ignites fuel mixed with combustion air in a controlled ratio, generating high-temperature flames and flue gases. Based on the contact method between hot gas and material, two configurations are available:
● Direct Heating Type: Hot flue gases from combustion enter the dryer directly and contact the material. This configuration offers high thermal efficiency (up to 95%+) and is suitable for organic fertilizer drying applications where flue gas impurities are not a concern.
● Indirect Heating Type: Combustion flue gases pass through a heat exchanger to heat clean air, which then contacts the material. This prevents flue gas contamination of the product and is suitable for applications with higher purity requirements.
The hot air generated (typically 80–220°C) is fed into the rotary dryer, where it comes into full contact with the wet material, evaporating moisture and achieving the desired drying effect.
Applications in Organic Fertilizer Production
● Rotary Dryer Heating: Supplies high-temperature hot air (typically 80–220°C) to reduce pellet moisture content to safe storage levels
● Hot-Blast Stove Support: Serves as the heat source core of the drying system, ensuring continuous line operation
● Fermentation Supplementary Heating: Provides auxiliary heat to fermentation piles in cold regions, maintaining microbial activity
